M11 League - Thurrock
Braintree & Bocking swimming Club recently travelled to Thurrock for the first round of the M11 League. The league, for swimmers aged 9-12, is a fun fixture with a mixture of individual events and team relays. Coach Mike Woods was very impressed with the Braintree youngsters and said “All of the Braintree swimmers put in great performances against some really strong teams, and for some, this was their first taste of a league meet. Their encouragement and team spirit was excellent”.
Spring Festival Meet Photograph
Well done to all the swimmers who competed at this weekends Spring Festival Open Meet and to all the volunteers who helped make the meet such a success. There will be a photo on poolside at 6.10pm on Thursday 16th May. Please could swimmers bring their medals and wear their BBSC tops.
Regional Youth Championships
Congratulations to those swimmers who competed at the Regional Youth Championships on 4th/5th May, they are: Lee Peterson, Sophie Howard, Harriet Bartram-Baird and Isabella Salthouse. The Regional BAGCAT Championships take place over the first two weekends in June, swimmers who have qualified so far are: Ellie Runnals, Eloise Dockerty, Emily Woods, Eleanor Potter, Chloe Moloney, Finlay Rudge, Jordan Rudge, Myles English and Ben Cox. Swimmers have a last chance to qualify at this weekend's Spring Festival Open Meet.
Bank Holiday Training
Please note that there will be no training on Monday 6th May or 27th May due to the Bank Holiday closure times of the pool.
County Championships
Congratulations to all the swimmers who competed at County Championships this year, there were some excellent results across all the age groups, well done!
